Acting for the Camera Bootcamp

 Here’s your chance to really immerse yourself!

 

Our bootcamp is a fun introduction to the craft of acting for the camera. We will cover the fundamentals and techniques that actors use for working in this intimate medium. 

We'll cover:

• basic terminology used on sets

• the differences between shots and how this impacts the actor

• hitting your mark

• what creates a compelling onscreen performance

• working with a scene partner

• working with a reader, as one does in an audition situation

• film and T.V. scripts - how to approach them 

• commercial scripts - the various different kinds and how to approach them

 

This is a hands-on, on-your-feet workshop.  We will film and then watch the footage together throughout the class.

 

FOR:  ages 18 and older

 

PREREQUISITE:  Intro to Acting with us or at another school OR significant acting performance experience.
