Intro to Acting Bootcamp
Have you ever wanted to……
Take an acting class?
Brush up on your acting skills?
Feel more comfortable speaking in front of a group?
Jump-start your imagination?
AND JUST DO NOT HAVE THE TIME FOR A CLASS THAT MEETS FOR 5 WEEKS?
Intro to Acting Bootcamp is a fun, informative and hands-on immersion into the fundamentals of acting. Our two-day program will introduce you to the craft of acting, including:
Creating a believable character
We will also address how to handle those pesky nerves.
Some students don't have the ability to commit to our weekly classes due to work or time conflicts. This weekend intensive will introduce you to the principles and techniques covered in our five week introduction to acting class.
Through fun improvisational exercises and games, this class teaches the foundations of the craft of acting: active listening, objectives, movement, spontaneity and connection. Each student will also work on a monologue and a scene. This class is great for the beginner who has little to no acting experience, or for those who wish to get back in shape by revisiting the fundamentals of acting.

I really enjoyed the Intro to Acting Bootcamp! What a great way to really immerse yourself into the art of acting and learn so many tricks and tips to access your entire range as an actor! I highly recommend this class to everyone. A friend of mine is already waiting to register for the next bootcamp...
Art and Amanda have a real gift in teaching the craft. They are amazing actors themselves and know how to bring out the best in others. I really enjoyed learning about the nuances and subtleties that go into the portrayal of a character - the minute changes that change the entire scene. I definitely had a lot of fun and know that I will be continuing my journey into acting. All thanks to Art and Amanda!"
"I want to thank you and Art for bringing out the best in people. I am aware that the two of you have been teaching together for years, but it was beautiful to observe the flow of your partnership at play. The bootcamp has had a great impact on me, as I think about how both of you created a dynamic environment of intense creativity, inspiration, trust, and respect for your participants' individual gifts, while still encouraging artistic growth. I still think about the transformations that took place in me and some of my classmates as we learned and applied the techniques and methods you and Art taught us during the class. I look forward to other bootcamps.
